Week 4: Quote Keeper

Quote 1: " Brother I have to tell you something....I'm Gay" pg 216- Portia said this to her Brother because she was done lying to him. Also, she told him that because she thought that her brother wouldn't accept her but luckily he didn't care about her prefrences and no matter what he would always love her.

Quote 2: " Please let me be in the nineties" pg 220- Portia prayed to weigh at least 90 pounds. She said that she'd take any weight but she really wanted it to be below 100 lbs. This proved Portia was sick because she thought that pounds over 100 was considered to be fat.

Quote 3: " I have lupus! I'm sick" pg 272- While on break of her tv show Portia recieved a phone call from her doctor. The doctor told her that she had lupus due to her anorexia and that she could die. But there was also a voice inside her head that told her she was fat and ugly. Portia stood up for herself and told that voice to go to hell.
